Tyler Chavis serves as the Senior Pastor of Chatom Baptist Church. Tyler has a heart for preaching God’s Word, discipling families, and helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. He earned a Master’s degree in Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has spent years serving in ministry and investing in the local church.
Tyler and his wife are thankful to call Chatom home along with their children, Jase, Jessa, and Kinsleigh. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, golf, reading, and supporting local sports.

Director of Music Ministries
CBC is seeking a full-time Director of Music Ministries to lead and develop a comprehensive music and worship ministry. The Director of Music Ministries will work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor, church staff, and volunteers to plan and lead worship services and provide music ministry opportunities for children, youth, and adults.
Candidates should demonstrate a calling to Christian ministry, strong musical ability, and technical knowledge related to worship ministry. Responsibilities include leading worship, directing choirs and other music groups, developing musicians and volunteers, coordinating seasonal and special programs, and providing administrative leadership for the music ministry.
Seminary training is preferred but not required. The candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and support the beliefs, mission, and ministry of Chatom Baptist Church. Compensation will be based on education, experience, and qualifications.
